Are there AI training jobs with no experience?
Yes, but not many. Most AI training listings want a degree or years in a field, so entry-level work is a small slice, mostly audio and voice, general work and image work. Your best odds are the listings below that are marked entry level, plus a skill-tested platform like Outlier, Prolific or DataAnnotation that judges a test rather than your resume.

Which AI training platforms are easiest to get into?
Platforms we grade 1 or 2 out of 5 for how hard they are to get into (1 = easiest). These are the usual way in without a specialty, though pay is lower.
| Platform | Getting in | Advertised pay | Payouts |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/5 | $2–25/hr | Monthly, around the 14th for the previous month | |
| 2/5 | $8–30/hr | Cash out on demand | |
| 2/5 | $3–25/hr | Weekly or twice a month, depending on project | |
| 2/5 | $10–50/hr | Weekly, every Tuesday |
Advertised pay is the platform's own stated range. Getting-in grade from our platform grade sheets.
Which platforms post entry-level listings?
| Platform | Listings | Typical top rate | Open worldwide |
|---|---|---|---|
| 38 | $15/hr | 0 | |
| 34 | $42/hr | 0 | |
| 32 | $65/hr | 26 | |
| 31 | $120/hr | 6 | |
| 14 | $21/hr | 0 | |
| 1 | up to $20/hr | 0 |
What does "no experience" really mean here?
It means no professional background in a field, not no skill. Entry-level projects still test you, usually with an unpaid assessment that checks careful reading, clear writing and following long guidelines. You get one try on many of them, so take it rested, in one sitting, without AI tools.
A listing counts as entry level on Rubric when the platform marks it entry level, beginner or no experience. Another 147 listings ask for "some experience", which often means a degree in progress or a year of work.
What is the fastest way in?
- Apply to the entry-level listings below first. They are the only ones written for you; check your country is named.
- Join one skill-tested platform the same week. See the table above; DataAnnotation and Outlier pay more than survey-style sites but are harder to pass.
- Lead with any specialty you have. A second language, a coding project or strong math opens better-paid work. See language jobs and jobs that need no special degree.
- Never pay to start. Real platforms don't charge fees. Read how to spot fake AI jobs.
Other questions people ask
Can I get an AI training job with no experience?
Yes. 150 open listings on Rubric are marked entry level today. Most other AI training work wants a degree or years in a field.
How much do entry-level AI training jobs pay?
The typical top rate on entry-level listings is $52/hr, against $70/hr for all listings. Expect less until you add a specialty.
Do I need a degree for AI training work?
Not for generalist writing and rating projects, which test your skills instead. Expert projects in medicine, law, coding and science usually want a degree.
Can students apply?
Yes. See AI training jobs for students for which platforms take students and how to fit the work around classes.
Is an AI training job with no experience a scam?
Not on real platforms. It is a scam if a stranger messages you on Telegram or WhatsApp, or if you are asked to pay a deposit or buy a starter kit.
