About the Role
We're looking for experienced postsecondary Economics instructors to help shape the next generation of AI. Your classroom expertise will directly influence how AI systems understand, explain, and reason through economic concepts — from introductory micro and macro principles to advanced applied economics.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your schedule and work asynchronously — no meetings, no commute, just meaningful work that puts your knowledge to use in a cutting-edge context.
What You'll Do
- Design and review economics questions and scenarios used to train and evaluate AI systems
- Assess AI-generated economics content for accuracy, depth, and pedagogical soundness
- Provide structured, expert feedback to improve economic reasoning in AI model outputs
- Apply real-world teaching experience to validate complex concepts and edge cases
- Identify gaps, misconceptions, or oversimplifications in AI-generated explanations
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet project milestones
Who You Are
- 3+ years of full-time experience teaching economics at the postsecondary level
- Strong command of core economics topics including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and applied economics
- Able to clearly articulate and evaluate economic reasoning in written form
- Comfortable reviewing structured content and delivering detailed, actionable feedback
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
- Master's or PhD in Economics
- Experience grading or evaluating student work at scale
- Background in applied, policy, or data-driven economics
- Familiarity with AI, large language models (LLMs), or content evaluation workflows
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work whenever and wherever suits you
- Freelance perks: full autonomy, variety of tasks, and global collaboration
- Your expertise creates lasting impact on how AI understands economics
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
