The job description
Pay: $60-120/hr. Paid per task
Time commitment: 10+ hours/week required; 20+ preferred.
Time per task: Approximately 3 hours, following approximately 15 hours of initial environment development. Estimates include agent execution time.
Your tasks: Primarily review transaction-related financial analyses and AI-generated deliverables, and help develop task instructions and objective evaluation criteria.
micro1 is engaging experienced financial due diligence and transaction accounting professionals to help build tasks that measure how effectively AI systems can perform complex transaction work.
You’ll apply your transaction expertise to review realistic financial analyses, challenge assumptions, and identify material errors. Hands-on experience with agentic AI tools is required: you’ll work with agents to support analysis and independently verify the quality of their outputs.
Scope of Work
- Review financial due diligence, quality-of-earnings, and carve-out financial analyses for accuracy, completeness, and supporting evidence.
- Identify unsupported adjustments, reconciliation issues, double counting, and inconsistent accounting treatment.
- Use agentic AI tools to support review and help develop realistic transaction materials, task instructions, and objective grading criteria.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience, including substantive hands-on work in financial due diligence, transaction services, or carve-out financial analysis.
- Direct responsibility for preparing or reviewing transaction-related financial analyses and deliverables. Audit experience or a CPA alone is insufficient.
- Hands-on experience using agentic AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Claude Cowork for substantive work. General chatbot use alone is insufficient.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a Big Four firm or another leading transaction advisory practice.
- CPA qualification.
- Experience developing review standards, training junior professionals, or writing internal playbooks.
- Prior benchmark development or AI evaluation experience.
- Availability for 20+ hours per week.
How the selection process works
- Apply and complete the screening questions.
- Complete the AI interview — this is how we showcase your expertise to the client.
- Profile review.
- Onboarding — our Talent Ops team will get you set up.
