The job description
Opportunity Snapshot
Pay: $80–100/hour equivalent (approximately $640–800 per task)
Time per task: ~8 hours
Engagement: Project-based — paid per approved task
You’ll need: A public GitHub profile with substantial, verifiable contributions
Your tasks: Turn screenshots, diagrams and videos into challenging coding tasks with objective success criteria
What you’ll do
- Design multi-step coding tasks grounded in visual material: screenshots, UI mockups, diagrams, or screen recordings of real workflows.
- Specify which code and artifacts the task involves, and what the expected behavior is.
- Define objective success criteria — how someone would verify the task was completed correctly, not just plausibly.
- Provide a working reference implementation.
- Review tasks built by other contributors for technical accuracy and verifiability.
- Flag tasks that turn out to be ambiguous or ungradable rather than submitting them.
What we’re looking for
- A public GitHub profile with substantial, verifiable contributions — commits, merged PRs, or repositories you maintain. This is essential.
- Strong frontend engineering: React, TypeScript, or similar, with experience shipping complex interfaces and interactions.
- Able to read, modify, debug and validate real application code.
- Experience with UI, graphics, SVG, or Canvas work is especially valuable.
- Product or UI designers with hands-on frontend implementation and public code contributions are also a fit.
- Strong written English, and the ability to explain expected behavior and reproducible verification steps.
- Prior data labeling, AI evaluation, or rubric-based review experience is a plus, not a requirement.
How the selection process works
- Apply and complete the screening questions
- Complete the AI interview for this role — it’s how your expertise gets in front of the client
- Profile review
- Onboarding — our Talent Ops team will get you set up
