The job description
About the Role
What if your knowledge of equities, macroeconomics, and financial markets could directly shape how AI understands and communicates the world of finance? We're looking for Financial Markets Research Associates to synthesize complex market information into structured, high-utility outputs — helping leading AI labs and financial organizations build smarter, more accurate systems.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just a sharp analytical mind, solid market knowledge, and a talent for turning complex data into clear, concise insights.
What You'll Do
- Research and review equity markets, macroeconomic indicators, industry trends, and company-level disclosures
- Identify key drivers affecting specific sectors, companies, or broader market conditions
- Synthesize findings into concise, consistent, and structured research summaries
- Cross-check data sources for accuracy, coherence, and reliability
- Support ad-hoc research tasks as project needs evolve
- Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Experienced in market research, economics, financial analysis, or a closely related field
- Strong ability to synthesize complex, multi-source financial information into clear outputs
- Clear, structured written communicator who can make dense information accessible
- Detail-oriented and methodical — you catch inconsistencies others miss
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without supervision
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with fundamental analysis principles — valuation, financial statements, earnings drivers
- Experience working with macro or sector-specific datasets
- Background in investment research, asset management, financial journalism, or economics
- Familiarity with AI tools or data evaluation workflows
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and financial organizations
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
- Put your financial expertise to work on problems that matter at scale
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
