The job description
About the Role
AI is increasingly being used to analyse legislation, summarise case law, and navigate regulatory frameworks — and it needs to get things right. We're looking for legal and policy professionals to help evaluate and improve AI-generated content in the legal and government domain. Your expertise will directly shape how AI handles some of its most consequential outputs.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background required — just sharp legal knowledge and a keen eye for detail.
- Organisation: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Review AI-generated legal analyses, policy summaries, and government-related content for accuracy and completeness
- Evaluate the correct use of legal terminology, citations, and regulatory references
- Identify factual errors, logical flaws, or misleading interpretations in AI outputs
- Assess how well AI handles nuance in areas like legislation, case law, compliance, and public policy
- Provide clear, structured written feedback to improve AI performance on legal and government topics
- Work independently and asynchronously — on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Strong understanding of legal concepts, government processes, or public policy
- Excellent reading comprehension and analytical thinking
- Meticulous attention to detail — especially around precise language and factual claims
- Clear, structured written communication skills
- Comfortable evaluating content across diverse legal and regulatory topics
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Background in law, political science, public administration, or a related field
- Experience in legal research, compliance, legislation drafting, or government operations
- Familiarity with UK or international regulatory frameworks, parliamentary processes, or common law systems
- Paralegal, legal assistant, barrister's clerk, or policy research experience
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects that shape how AI handles legal and government content
- Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and work when it suits you
- Collaborate with top research labs and a global community of subject-matter experts
- Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually engaging work
- Build expertise at the intersection of AI and law — a fast-growing and high-value space
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
