The job description
About the Role
We're looking for experienced GRC professionals to help build and evaluate AI systems that reason about security, compliance, and risk. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to create high-quality training data — and your real-world expertise is exactly what's needed to make AI smarter in the GRC domain.
If you've spent time inside compliance programs, audit cycles, or risk management frameworks, this is a rare opportunity to apply that knowledge in a new and impactful way.
What You'll Do
- Review and analyze security policies, controls, and procedures for accuracy and completeness
- Evaluate compliance scenarios across frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST
- Assess risk statements, control mappings, and audit-style documentation
- Generate and validate training and evaluation data used to teach AI systems how GRC reasoning works
- Provide structured, precise written feedback on AI-generated compliance content
Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in GRC, compliance, risk management, or information security
- Familiar with one or more major frameworks: SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, or similar
- Comfortable reading, interpreting, and critiquing policy and audit-style documentation
- Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills
- Self-directed and reliable in an asynchronous remote environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, quality assurance, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in internal audit, third-party risk, or security consulting
- Familiarity with control frameworks across multiple industries
Why Join Us
- Work directly on frontier AI systems used by leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
- Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually engaging work
- Contribute to AI that gets security and compliance reasoning right
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
