The job description

About the Role

AI systems are only as safe as the experts who challenge them. We're looking for cybersecurity professionals to stress-test, probe, and harden cutting-edge AI models — finding weaknesses before bad actors do. Your work will directly shape the safety and reliability of AI products used by millions of people worldwide.

If you enjoy thinking like an attacker, crafting clever exploits, and making complex systems more resilient, this role was built for you.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct red-teaming exercises to uncover security weaknesses in AI systems
  • Design and execute adversarial prompts and edge-case scenarios to test model guardrails
  • Evaluate AI outputs for safety issues, bias, and policy compliance
  • Document vulnerabilities, exploits, and unexpected behaviors in clear, structured reports
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to recommend practical mitigations and improvements
  • Stay current on emerging AI security threats, jailbreak techniques, and evolving best practices
  • Help define and refine security evaluation rubrics and testing protocols

Who You Are

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts — threat modeling, penetration testing, or vulnerability research
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems, LLMs, or prompt engineering
  • Creative and analytical thinker who enjoys breaking things in order to build them better
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently on async, task-based assignments
  • Background in infosec, ethical hacking, or AI safety research is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with open-source AI platforms or evaluation frameworks is a bonus

Why Join Us

  • Work at the frontier of AI security alongside top research labs
  • Directly influence the safety of AI systems used by millions
  • Full autonomy — work on your own schedule, from anywhere in the world
  • Build deep, marketable expertise in one of the fastest-growing domains in tech
  • Collaborate with a global network of security and AI professionals
  • Potential for ongoing work, expanded scope, and long-term contract extension
