The job description
About the Role
What if your JavaScript expertise could directly influence how AI writes code for millions of developers around the world? We're looking for experienced JavaScript Engineers to evaluate and improve AI-generated code — ensuring it's correct, efficient, and written to the standards real engineers actually care about.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working developers. You'll bring your real-world JS experience to one of the most impactful applications in tech right now: training the AI systems that are reshaping how software gets built.
What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated JavaScript code for correctness, efficiency, and adherence to modern ES6+ standards
- Write high-quality JavaScript solutions across a range of difficulty levels — from everyday utility functions to complex async logic
- Identify bugs, edge cases, and failure modes in AI-generated web and backend code
- Craft clear, human-readable explanations of code logic and problem-solving approaches
- Provide structured, detailed feedback that helps AI models produce better, more reliable code
- Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Deep familiarity with core JavaScript concepts — async/await, closures, prototypal inheritance, DOM manipulation, and more
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Vue
- Strong instincts for clean, readable, maintainable code — you know the difference between code that works and code that's well written
- Naturally detail-oriented with a methodical approach to evaluating quality
- Able to articulate technical reasoning clearly in writing
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, but demonstrated experience matters most
Nice to Have
- Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training workflows
- Familiarity with TypeScript or modern JavaScript toolchains (Webpack, Vite, ESLint, etc.)
- Background in code review, technical writing, or software quality assurance
- Experience working across both frontend and backend JavaScript environments
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and AI teams
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
- Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and generates code used by developers worldwide
- Training and onboarding support provided — no prior AI experience necessary
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
