micro1 is engaging Senior Industrial Trades and Maintenance Experts to contribute insights and technical expertise to a customer’s specialized project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Scope of Work
- Review and interpret mechanical installation drawings, millwright documentation, and specialty trade plans for accuracy and clarity.
- Analyze and provide expert commentary on field diagrams, inspection sketches, and site layout documentation.
- Examine pest control layouts, textile production schematics, and stage lighting plots to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Answer trade-specific questions derived from real project documents, offering step-by-step reasoning and technical justifications.
- Deliver structured, well-written responses with clear explanations, suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate remotely with project coordinators, submitting expert assessments within established timelines for each document review assignment.
- Contribute ongoing insights to improve the accuracy and applicability of modeled processes based on your practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in industrial trades (e.g., millwright, mechanical installation, textiles, specialty trades, pest control, lighting design), with journeyman or licensure status strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and critique a variety of technical documents, plans, and schematics relevant to your trade specialty.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity, detail, and instructive reasoning.
- Advanced problem-solving abilities and a track record of providing expert guidance to peers or juniors in trade contexts.
- Comfort working independently and remotely, managing deliverables with minimal oversight.
- Familiarity with digital collaboration tools and document-sharing platforms.
- Experience reviewing or developing training or reference materials for trades practitioners (nice-to-have).
