The job description
About the Role
We partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI systems — and we need real security practitioners to make it happen. As a Vulnerability Management Analyst, you'll bring your hands-on experience with CVEs, exposure data, and remediation workflows to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models on how security teams actually think and operate.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your domain expertise in a new way — shaping how the next generation of AI understands and reasons about real-world security risk.
What You'll Do
- Analyze vulnerability reports, CVEs, and exposure scenarios across infrastructure and applications
- Classify severity, impact, exploitability, and appropriate remediation strategies
- Review and evaluate patching, mitigation, and remediation decision-making scenarios
- Generate, label, and validate realistic security-reasoning data used to train and improve AI systems
- Apply your real-world judgment to help AI distinguish between theoretical risk and what actually matters in production environments
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management, security operations, or infrastructure security
- Familiar with CVEs, vulnerability scanners, patching workflows, and risk prioritization frameworks (e.g., CVSS, EPSS, SSVC)
- You understand the nuance between a high CVSS score and an actual exploitable threat in the wild
- A structured, analytical thinker who can explain your reasoning clearly in writing
- Comfortable working independently on task-based assignments
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools like Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with cloud or container security vulnerability management
- Background in threat intelligence or security architecture
- Prior work in AI, data labeling, or technical content evaluation
Why Join Us
- Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
- Your security expertise creates lasting impact on how AI understands real-world risk
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
