The job description

micro1 is engaging Godot Game Developers to participate in a dynamic project for a valued customer, focusing on crafting engaging interactive experiences using the Godot engine. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. This is an exciting opportunity for seasoned professionals who take pride in clear written and verbal communication, and who are ready to apply their Godot skills to real-world deliverables.

Scope of Work

  1. Design and implement advanced gameplay systems, mechanics, and features using Godot engine.
  2. Collaborate on scene creation, visual scripting, and asset integration to ensure interactive and visually appealing content.
  3. Provide in-depth documentation and regular written feedback on game development processes and delivered components.
  4. Deliver comprehensive code reviews and mentorship to enhance the project’s overall code quality and maintainability.
  5. Identify, analyze, and resolve technical challenges, optimizing performance and user experience.
  6. Participate in iterative development cycles, contributing insights to improve playability and engagement.
  7. Support the adaptation of project assets and logic to meet evolving scope requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Demonstrated experience in game development, whether in AAA, indie, solo, or serious hobby contexts.
  2. A portfolio or verifiable published work (personal site, itch.io, Steam, GitHub, game jam entries, or shipped title credits). Your portfolio is the most important part of your application and plays a major role in our selection, so please include the work that best represents your skills.
  3. Advanced proficiency with at least one major game engine (Unity, Godot, Unreal), including editor tools, scene management, and debugging utilities.
  4. Comfort with engine scripting languages such as C#, GDScript, C++, or Blueprints, with the ability to interpret, troubleshoot, and enhance gameplay logic.
  5. Proven ability to identify and resolve gameplay issues through iterative playtesting.
  6. Strong written communication skills for drafting precise task instructions and acceptance criteria.
  7. Experience in game QA, technical design, systems design, automated testing, or prior contribution to AI evaluation projects is a plus.

Compensation Structure

Compensation is output-based; experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete work may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply. Experts must submit a minimum of tasks per week.
