The job description

Opportunity Snapshot

Pay: $55 to $100 per hour

You’ll need: Professional experience styling looks or spaces for editorial, brands, retail, productions or private clients

Your tasks: Review looks, rooms and briefs, judge fit, color, proportion and brief match, and explain your decisions in writing

You’ll review styling work for fashion and interiors and judge it: what works, what doesn’t, and why. This is a good fit if you work as a fashion stylist, wardrobe stylist, interior stylist, set stylist or home stylist and make decisions about what goes into a look or a space.

Scope of Work

  1. Look at outfits or room setups and judge which one is stronger for a given brief, season or client.
  2. Check proportion, fit, scale, color and material choices.
  3. Flag items that would not work in practice (wrong size, wrong fabric for the use, items that don’t fit the space).
  4. Judge if a look or a space fits the brief, budget and setting.
  5. Write a short explanation for each decision so a reviewer can follow your reasoning.
  6. Write or improve styling briefs, mood descriptions or shopping lists.

What we’re looking for

  1. Professional work as a fashion stylist, wardrobe stylist, personal stylist, interior stylist, set stylist, prop stylist or home stylist.
  2. Experience with real jobs: briefs, sourcing, fittings or installs, and delivery to a client.
  3. Comfort explaining why one look or space works and another doesn’t.
  4. Clear written English

How the selection process works

  1. Apply with your resume and a short profile.
  2. Complete the curation interview. It is a short conversation about your experience with exhibitions, collections and attribution. You don’t need to prepare, look at anything or write anything. Finishing it is what moves your application forward.
  3. Review. We check your experience against what the project needs.
  4. Onboarding and first task. If selected, you get the guidelines and start with an initial task, which is reviewed before you continue.
