Schedule: Flexible-you choose the hours and days you work, including weekends if desired

micro1 is engaging Senior Vehicle Damage and Condition Experts to participate in a specialized project for a valued customer. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  1. Review and analyze comprehensive vehicle evidence such as damage photos, repair estimates, condition reports, and collision scene footage.
  2. Write detailed, professional-grade damage estimates and condition assessments, applying the standards expected of a licensed appraiser or ACTAR-certified reconstructionist.
  3. Conduct remote accident quality audits and causation analysis, clearly documenting rationale and supporting evidence.
  4. Evaluate and grade vehicle condition using established criteria common in fleet, auction, or OEM inspection protocols.
  5. Deliver well-structured written explanations and verbal feedback that communicate findings with clarity and authority.
  6. Collaborate with a project team to uphold consistency and quality in all deliverables submitted to the platform.
  7. Adapt review methods to reflect current industry practices and maintain compliance with project guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of professional experience in vehicle damage appraisal, automotive claims, collision repair assessment, or fleet/auction inspection.
  2. Expertise in auto damage estimating, vehicle inspection, and accident quality auditing.
  3. Background as an auto damage appraiser, ACTAR-certified reconstructionist, OEM auditor, or fleet/auction inspector strongly preferred.
  4. State adjuster license, I-CAR, or ACTAR certification considered a plus.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on thorough documentation and reasoned justifications.
  6. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with an aptitude for objective evidence review and reporting.
  7. Comfortable engaging in a remote, flexible, and independent expert contributor opportunity.
