The job description
About the Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands and responds to hundreds of millions of Indian English speakers around the world? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists to participate in paid studio recording sessions — helping leading AI research teams build speech systems that truly understand how real people talk.
This is a short-term contract role with a limited number of sessions. No AI background needed — just a natural, authentic Indian English voice and some experience in front of a microphone.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Contract
- Session Format: 4-hour sessions (2–3 sessions total)
- Note: This project does not involve voice cloning
What You'll Do
- Record natural, conversational Indian English speech in a professional studio environment
- Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue conversations
- Deliver realistic, human-sounding dialogue that feels unscripted and authentic
- Follow light direction to vary tone, pacing, and delivery across recordings
- Bring your full voice acting craft to sessions that directly train AI speech understanding
Who You Are
- Native or near-native Indian English speaker with an authentic regional accent
- Experienced in voice acting, voice-over work, or professional audio performance
- Comfortable recording natural conversation and dialogue — not just scripted reads
- Reliable, professional, and receptive to direction in a studio setting
- Currently based in India
Nice to Have
- Background in acting, performance, or theatre
- Prior experience in broadcast, podcasting, or professional studio recording
- Comfort with both solo performance and conversational dialogue formats
Why Join Us
- Contribute your voice to cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs
- Work with a professional, well-organised team that respects your craft
- Competitive pay for a focused, short-term commitment
- Be part of meaningful work that helps AI better understand real, diverse human speech
- Potential for involvement in future recording projects as new sessions launch
