The job description
About the Role
What if your sharp ears and attention to detail could directly shape the future of AI? We're looking for Audio Quality Reviewers to evaluate audio recordings that power some of today's most advanced AI systems. Your feedback helps ensure AI learns from the clearest, most accurate audio data possible — and your impact is real.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with good listening skills and a keen eye (and ear) for detail. No audio engineering background required.
What You'll Do
- Listen to audio recordings and evaluate them for clarity, accuracy, and overall technical quality
- Identify issues such as background noise, distortion, mispronunciations, or unnatural cadence
- Verify that transcriptions accurately match spoken audio content
- Submit structured, detailed feedback using provided evaluation tools
- Work through batches of audio independently and at your own pace
- Work asynchronously on a schedule that fits your life
Who You Are
- You have sharp listening skills and can detect subtle differences in audio quality
- Detail-oriented and consistent — you apply the same high standard across every recording
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
- Comfortable using audio playback tools and headphones or earbuds
- Strong written communication for submitting clear, useful feedback
- No prior audio engineering, music production, or AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience in transcription, voice acting, podcasting, or music
- Familiarity with audio quality concepts (clarity, compression, noise floors)
- Background in quality assurance, content review, or data annotation
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
- Contribute to AI development that has a tangible, lasting impact
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
