The job description
About the Role
What if your Italian voice could directly shape how AI communicates with millions of people around the world? We're looking for experienced Italian-speaking voice actors to record high-quality audio and evaluate AI-generated speech — helping train the next generation of artificial intelligence systems to sound more natural, expressive, and human.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working voice professionals. No AI background needed — just a trained voice, a command of Italian, and a ear for quality.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Note: This role does not involve voice cloning of any kind
What You'll Do
- Produce professional-grade Italian voice recordings using a large diaphragm microphone, following provided scripts and prompts
- Evaluate AI-generated Italian speech for natural flow, pronunciation accuracy, and emotional expression
- Provide detailed, actionable feedback to improve the quality of synthesized voice outputs
- Review scripts and suggest adjustments to enhance clarity and ensure natural-sounding delivery
- Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Experienced in voice acting, narration, audiobooks, or related performance-based audio work
- Native or near-native fluency in Italian
- Owner of a high-quality microphone and access to a quiet, controlled recording environment
- Able to deliver engaging, expressive, and well-articulated vocal performances consistently
- Naturally attuned to nuance in tone, clarity, and pronunciation
- No prior AI or tech experience required
Nice to Have
- Studio or home studio recording experience
- Background in broadcast, theatre, or commercial voice work
- Familiarity with regional Italian dialects or accent variations
- Experience evaluating or directing voice talent
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and Fortune 500 companies
- Fully remote and flexible — record and evaluate on your own schedule
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
- Your voice directly contributes to AI systems that shape how technology understands human speech
- Top contributors may be considered for expanded roles and future initiatives as new projects launch
- Gain firsthand exposure to state-of-the-art AI voice and language model development
