The job description

About the Role

What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands and communicates with millions of Irish English speakers around the world? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with an authentic Irish English accent to take part in paid studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.

This is a rare, accent-specific opportunity. Your voice — the way you naturally speak — is exactly what's needed to make AI sound more human, more accurate, and more real for Irish English speakers everywhere.

  • Organisation: Alignerr
  • Type: Contract
  • Session Format: In-person professional recording studio
  • Session Length: 4 hours per session (2–3 sessions total)

What You'll Do

  • Record natural, conversational Irish English speech in a professional studio environment
  • Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue recordings
  • Deliver realistic, human-sounding speech that feels unscripted and natural
  • Follow light direction to vary tone, pacing, and delivery across different scenarios
  • Bring authenticity — your genuine Irish English accent is the most important thing you'll bring to the booth

Who You Are

  • A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with recording experience
  • A native or near-native Irish English speaker — your accent must be authentic and natural
  • Comfortable performing natural conversation and dialogue, not just scripted reads
  • Reliable, professional, and receptive to direction in a studio setting
  • Based in Ireland and able to attend in-person sessions at a locally assigned studio

Nice to Have

  • Acting or performance background
  • Experience in broadcast, podcasting, or prior studio recording work
  • Comfort with improvised or naturalistic dialogue delivery

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI speech projects alongside leading research labs
  • Competitive hourly pay for a focused, time-limited studio commitment
  • A unique opportunity where your specific voice and accent are the product
  • Contribute to AI development that makes technology work better for Irish English speakers
  • Be part of meaningful, accent-specific work that only a select group of voices can do
