About the opportunity

micro1 is looking for AI Photo Raters to support a customer project focused on evaluating AI-generated images.

In this role, you'll use your visual judgment to compare original photographs with AI-generated versions, identify inconsistencies, and provide detailed written feedback. Your observations will help evaluate image quality and support the refinement of AI models.

We're looking for people with a strong eye for detail and an understanding of photography, visual design, or image editing. Prior experience working with AI is not required.

What you'll do

Upload original photographs for use in structured image evaluation tasks.
Compare real photographs with AI-generated images to identify visual differences, inconsistencies, and artifacts.
Evaluate details such as lighting, perspective, anatomy, textures, and rendering quality.
Document your findings through clear, specific written feedback that explains what looks incorrect and why.
Apply your knowledge of photography and image editing to assess visual accuracy and image quality.
Handle submitted images and project materials with appropriate privacy and confidentiality.
Collaborate remotely with other contributors to address project goals and evaluation challenges.

Qualifications

Required skills

Strong attention to visual detail and the ability to recognize subtle differences between images.
Clear written English communication skills, including the ability to explain visual observations accurately.
Critical thinking skills and the ability to provide constructive, evidence-based feedback.

Preferred qualifications

Experience or expertise in digital photography, image editing, graphic design, or related visual arts.
Familiarity with image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or GIMP.
Experience with AI image generation tools, image comparison, or visual evaluation projects.
Ability to collaborate with others and communicate feedback constructively.
