The job description

micro1 is engaging Investment Funds & Asset Management Attorneys to contribute their subject-matter expertise to a dynamic customer project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  1. Analyze and annotate complex legal documents relevant to investment funds, asset management, and securities regulation.
  2. Draft realistic legal questions, scenarios, and case studies to reflect day-to-day issues in fund formation, compliance, and investor relations.
  3. Review, edit, and validate AI-generated content for accuracy and alignment with current industry standards and regulatory expectations.
  4. Research and summarize updates on global investment fund structures, SEC regulations, and emerging trends in private equity, hedge, and mutual funds.
  5. Provide detailed written feedback on nuanced legal concepts, risk management, and best practices in asset management.
  6. Collaborate asynchronously via platform tools, ensuring clear and effective written and verbal communication throughout all project deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in good standing.
  2. Extensive, recent experience as a legal professional advising on investment funds and asset management matters.
  3. Strong understanding of U.S. and international securities laws, fund governance, and compliance protocols.
  4. Demonstrated expertise with drafting and reviewing offering memoranda, subscription agreements, and regulatory filings.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to both legal and non-legal audiences.
  6. Familiarity with evolving fintech and AI applications in the financial services industry (a plus, but not required).
  7. Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for accuracy, integrity, and staying current with industry developments.
