The job description
About the Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI speaks to millions of French speakers around the world? We're looking for professional French voice actors to record high-quality audio and evaluate AI-generated speech — helping next-generation AI systems sound more natural, expressive, and human.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for experienced voice talent. No AI background needed — just a commanding French voice, professional equipment, and a passion for quality delivery.
> This role supports AI speech development and does not involve voice cloning of any kind.
What You'll Do
- Record clear, high-fidelity French audio using provided scripts and prompts
- Evaluate AI-generated speech for naturalness, accuracy, tone, and expressiveness
- Provide structured, constructive feedback to help improve synthesized voice quality
- Review and adjust scripts as needed to ensure they sound natural and are easy to deliver
- Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Full fluency in spoken French — native or near-native
- Prior experience in voice acting, narration, audiobooks, dubbing, or comparable audio-focused work
- Access to professional recording equipment and a quiet, controlled recording environment
- Able to deliver consistently engaging, expressive, and well-articulated performances
- Sharp attention to detail when evaluating pronunciation, rhythm, tone, and overall clarity
- No prior AI or tech experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience across multiple voice styles — commercial, character, documentary, conversational
- Familiarity with audio editing tools or DAW software
- Awareness of regional French variations — Parisian, Québécois, Belgian, or African French
- Background in linguistics, communications, or broadcast media
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and Fortune 500 companies
- Fully remote and flexible — record and review on a schedule that works for you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
- Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI speaks to French speakers worldwide
- High performers may take on expanded responsibilities, including mentoring incoming voice contributors
- Gain firsthand exposure to advanced large language models and modern AI speech training
